چکیده
Simavnalı Şeyh Bedreddin piyesi, 1968 yılı olaylarının ardından kaleme alınmıştır. Asena, günümüzde hâlâ tartışması devam eden Bedrettin karakteri üzerinden dönemin olaylarına dolaylı bir politik gönderme yapmıştır. senesinde dünyadaki gelişmelerle de bağlantılı olarak ülkenin birçok üniversitesinde okuyan öğrenciler yeni haklar için ayaklanmışlardır. Başlangıçta üniversitede bazı özgürlüklerin kazanılması ortaya çıkan bu olaylar sonrasında devrimci tutuma dönüşerek politikleşmiştir. O dönemde sol cenahın savunduğu devrim sloganının, Orhan Asena’nın piyesinde savunulması metnin tutumla yazıldığının göstergesidir. Bu çalışmada aldığı Alman yönetmen Erwin Piscator’un kuramsal çerçevesini çizdiği tiyatro kuramı açısından incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı, piyesinin ile ilişkisini çıkarmaktır. makalede piyesi; propaganda, eğiticilik, ideolojik, güncellik, bildiri, estetik ve belgesellik işlevleri doğrultusunda işlevler piyesine uygun irdelenerek “Politik Tiyatronun Propaganda Eğitici İşlevi”, İdeolojik Güncellik Bildiri işlevi”, Estetik işlevi” Belgesellik başlıklarıyla aktarılmıştır. öğrenci olayları gelişmeler ışığında Bedreddin’in hikâyesini eseri, savunmuş olduğu anlayışı çerçevesinde ele
